Hello Compatriots,
This is to announce that version 5.11 of SARApAid has been released.
Version 5.11 adds the capability of entering 7 digit DAR numbers through generation 4. Due to issues with pdf conversions caused by additional security settings added to the NSSAR pdf form, a new "Stage 2" pdf conversion process has been added that will convert pdf form #0915 Rev. Mar 2017 and the older form #0915 Rev. Jan 2012. It may work on other versions, but has not been tested. All forms converted with the Stage 2 process, including the older Jan 2012 revision will automatically be converted to the SARApAid SAR form #0915U (2017). See the Help file "File Conversions" topic for instructions on how to perform a Stage 2 conversion.
Some minor bug fixes were done on the Application Status tool and the download progress indication.
Note: The installation, upgrade, and repair files associated with SARApAid continue to trigger false positive indications in many anti-virus programs. In order to prevent your having to deal with undoing the deletion, quaranteeing, etc. that anti-virus programs may inflict on these files, it is highly recommended that you temporarily disable your anti-virus programs when installing, updating, or repairing your SARApAid program. If you'd like to read additional information on why the false positives are triggered please click here and read the last FAQ on the page.
Did you Know?
For Registrars or others who routinely deal with multiple applications and who need to check the status of submitted applications periodically (or those who just want to do a quick status check) did you know that SARApAid can check on the status of a single application or of multiple applications automatically?
To check the status of a single application, load that application, then click the Instant Status Check button on the Toolbar (looks like a key).
To check the status of multiple applications, select Tools > Reports. In the Report Selection window, choose the option you want, followed by multiple file selections using the standard Windows Ctrl + click (if you selected the Select Applications from Directory list item). When you have selected the applications you want to check, click OK. You'll see the selected application(s) information appear in the Report window. Then in the Report window, click the Online App Status Check button (look like a key also).
In about 5 seconds (depends on the speed of your internet connection and of your computer) you'll see the status of the applications that you indicated. I guarantee it will be much faster than the process involved with checking the online status on the NSSAR web site.
For full information, check the Report Features help topic.
Sincerely,
Ray Cox
